Syracuse city police are continuing their investigation of the slaying which took place in Miss Dupuis' apartment sometime between Thursday and Saturday, when friends found her body. Police in Syracuse led a house-to-house investigation and questioned many friends in connection with the killing. Jaydean was found tied and gagged, naked on her bed, having been shot in the back of the head with a large caliber hand-gun. Her body was discovered beneath a pile of clothes and blankets about 1 p.m. in her Seymour Street apartment bedroom. Miss Dupuis failed to meet a woman Thursday with whom she rode to work daily. She was working at the Ramada Inn In Liverpool. Syracuse Deputy Police Chief John Dillon said that he thought the girl may have been shot sometime Friday night. Miss Dupuis had lived in Syracuse since February and had occupied the Seymour Street apartment for three weeks. Police commented that there was no evidence of forced entry to the apartment. That led them to the theory that she was killed by someone she may have known. The Syracuse crime lab is examining clothing and articles found in the apartment for clues and one man was taken to the police station for questioning. He was not charged.
