About	Age 22 - Norfolk - B. Robert White, 22, Potsdam, was killed at midnight Tuesday on the Norfolk-Massena Highway when the truck he was driving left the road. He was returning home from the Massea-Norwood basketball game here.White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Koy White, 43 1/2 Main St., Potsdam, died of a fractured skull. His 1949 pickup truck skidded on the ice-covered highway just north of the Norfolk-Plumbrook intersection, over-turned and struck a tree. Dr. Martin Brandt, Norfolk was summoned to the scene. Dr. J. Benton Pike, Massena County coroner authorized moving the body from the scene to the Garner Funeral Home in Potsdam. Dr. Pike said an in-quest is pending. State police from the Massena substation investigated the accident and notified the father in Potsdam. White was born in Potsdam Feb. 24, 1931, the only child of Roy and Adah White. He was a 1949 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School. White enlisted in the Air Force following one year of college. After serving in England he was discharged last December. Private services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Garner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the Potsdam Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Bayside Cemetery.
