Fredd Snell has extensive Central Intelligence Agency experience as a Senior Operations Officer as well as senior-level corporate experience; bringing seamless interface between the needs of the Intelligence Community's operational mission and corporate programmatic responsibilities. He received the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal for outstanding contributions to the Central Intelligence Agency during a 23-year career including six overseas field assignments in Asia and Europe – with a primary focus on the Middle East and South Asia. He served twice as Chief of Station as well as in other senior management positions at Headquarters and in the field. Mr. Snell was responsible for multi-million dollar budgets; experienced in managing large scale, complex intelligence programs; and represented the Central Intelligence Agency in interaction with senior foreign government intelligence officials, senior members of the U.S. Congress, National Security Council, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Security Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, Department of State and Department of Defense. Also experienced as an Imagery Analyst responsible for monitoring advanced weapons systems. He received extensive Central Intelligence Agency-provided training including Program Management Training and Leadership courses. He received training in Hungarian and Farsi languages. Prior to joining the CIA, Mr. Snell received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force, as a Captain, after a nearly six year career as an Air Intelligence Officer.
In the corporate world, Mr. Snell’s last position was Vice President and Division Manager at ManTech International – a Fortune 500 company. There he coordinated corporate delivery and programmatic oversight of a 100+ million dollar portfolio of classified government contracts. He advised and developed new business opportunities with classified customers, resulting in multi-million dollar programs. He participated in the preparation of successful business proposals. He maintained regular contact with Customers to ensure that program performance and quality of support met expectations. Mr. Snell received corporate-provided training in Risk Assessment and Management, Export Controls, and Foreign Fair Business Practices.
Mr. Snell graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He completed Master of Arts course requirements at the University of Miami’s Center for Advanced International Studies in Soviet Studies. Mr. Snell also graduated from the American University in Washington D.C. with a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science. He is married and lives in the Washington D.C. area, but spends much time at his retirement home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina..
