About	ohn K. Stapf, 52, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Mt. Joy, passed away peacefully Friday, July 24, 2009, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Aug. 9, 1956, in Braddock, and was a son of Mary Lou Chalfant Stapf, of North Huntingdon, and the late Ronald J. Stapf. He was employed by Weaver Investigations at New England Motor Freight Trucking Co. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Larimer. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Mt. Joy, and also a member of VFW Post 781 of North Huntingdon. John was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In addition to his mother, John will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Audrey, with whom he had the opportunity to spend the last 10 years; a brother, Bill (Pam) Stapf, of Odessa, Fla.; a sister, Marion (Lee) Smith, of North Huntingdon; two nephews, Nick Stapf and Benjamin Smith; and a niece, Alyese Stapf. John will also be missed by his in-laws, Jim and Dolores Eichler, of Elizabethtown, and Ruth Eichler, of Mt. Joy. Visitation for John will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 504 Oak St., Irwin. A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Claudia Papenmeir and Nancy Mears co-officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 4727 Route 30, Suite 204, Greensburg, PA 15601 or St. John's United Church of Christ, 1230 Brownstown Road, Larimer, PA 15647.
