Used the GI bill to pay for college & ARNG in an anti-tank platoon in Buffalo and then became a combat engineer in CT when I moved.

I served in the Air Force from 1975-1979 and 1983-2007. I spent 6 years in between in the Air Force reserve, as well. I started out in Security Forces, then cross trained to Munitions. I spent 10 in Air Force recruiting with 7 of those years a Health Professions Recruiter, before returning to my primary job in Munitions as a Production Supervisor. I retired as a Master Sergeant in 2007. I started my second career as a sales rep for Dr. Pepper, then as an Assistant Manager for Walgreens. Finally, I found my dream job as an Office Manager for the Department of Sociology & Anthropology for the University of Texas at Arlington. My wife, Cindy works here as well in the Dean of Liberal Arts Office as the Dean's Executive Assistant.

Retired from the USAF in Sept, 1998. Flew as an Instructor Navigator and Instructor Radar Navigator on the B-52G aircraft. Last Mission was with the United Nations in the West Sahara as a military observer during post Desert Storm as the US Air Force representative. I served as the Deputy Commander of the mission, the intelligence officer, and as a French translator. After I retired, I taught computer programming at Texas State Technical College for two years. Then I finally came back to NY to open an Air Force Junior ROTC program in Staten Island in July 2000 and have been there ever since.
