About	Kathryn M. "Kathy, Kak" Walsh R.N. 54 passed away February 1, 2010 after a one month illness, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Barberton, she was a life resident of the area and graduated from Norton High School in 1973, and Massillon School of Nursing in 1976. She worked at University Hospital in Cleveland for approximately eight years and then returned to the Norton-Barberton area to reside by family after being disabled. Kathy is survived by her parents, Harold and Mary Walsh of Norton; sisters, Debbie (George) Irwin of Doylestown, Cheryl (Joe) Kendron of Wadsworth; nieces, Denise Young, Nicole Miday, Stefanie Hoover, and Stacey Kendron; nephew, Matthew Irwin, great-nieces, Haleigh and Sophie Young; great-nephew, Henry Hoover. She also leaves behind best friend and ``buddy', Doug Gunn, who shared her last few years with her. Kathy had a kind heart and unconditional love for others. The family would like to thank all the staff at Akron City Hospital and at Regency in Barberton Hospital.
