About	Anita Cross, 70, died September 22, 2019 at her home in St. Louis, MO. Her memorial service was held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church on September 25, 2019. A graveside service will be held in Kensett, IA in the spring of 2020, the date to be announced at a later time. Anita was born on February 25, 1949 in Mason City, Iowa to Audrey and Arley Thompson. She married David Cross on March 1, 1969 and they raised two children, Brandi and Ryan. Anita was the school secretary at Salem Lutheran School for over 25 years. After she left Salem, she worked at Bethesda Southgate for 7 years. She loved cooking, eating out, traveling to Brown County, Indiana. She was a huge animal lover and loved telling everyone she had a "Grandpig, Gertie." Her family paid this tribute to her, "Anita was the most thoughtful person that I have ever known. She would never forget an anniversary, a birthday or a special day and would always make sure you knew you were thought of and special to her. She will be sorely missed." She is survived by her daughter, Brandi, grandsons Tyler and Scott, and great-grandson Blake. Also, her sisters Arla Mink, Ann Low and brother Allan Thompson.
