About Me	I admire people who are self-made; they're more interesting than those who have followed well-trod paths to predictable destinations. I respect people who have recovered (or are in the midst of recovering) after their lives have gone off the rails. The best employees (and friends) I ever had weren't honors grads; they were single parents with GEDs...people who acquired some education when it was the hardest and least convenient thing to do, not the easiest and most convenient. I like people who are thoughtful enough to understand it's worth a bit of work to ensure that their lives have meaning. I feel kinship with nerds of all kinds. I've been a music nerd and a math nerd and a writing nerd and a computer nerd. "Nerd" is just a word used by outsiders to describe people who have developed interests that make their lives more interesting and meaningful. I like pretty girls, punsters, children, shy people, Persians, idealists, and people who work in restaurants.
