About Linda was born on July 8, 1943, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Joe and Phyllis Kimberlin. Linda reminisced often about her time in Pawnee. Her family moved to Oklahoma City in 1956 where she attended Northwest Clasen High School.

One of her accomplishments as a young woman was getting her pilot’s license. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business from Oklahoma State University. As an Alpha Delta Pi, she made a group of lifelong friends who called themselves “The Magnolias.”

Linda’s father, Joe Kimberlin, introduced her to the love of her life and her best friend, Dick Manley. They were married on December 18, 1965, in Oklahoma City. Dick’s work brought them to Colorado where they created an incredible life filled with family and friends. Linda and Dick were founding members of St. Thomas More Church. An unforgettable moment for Linda was taking her family to Rome for Christmas Mass at The Vatican.

Linda told everyone that her greatest accomplishment was her children Stephanie and Chris. She devoted her entire life to raising and supporting her children. Linda would do anything for her children and honestly could never have enough time with them.

Linda had over 40 years of experience as a real estate broker earning her CRS, GRI, and countless awards and accolades. She and Dick owned Manley Properties and she went on to own Colorado Home Properties. What was unique about Linda’s skills as a realtor was that her clients were some of her dearest friends.

Throughout the course of her life, Linda gravitated to the water. Her parents had a cabin at Oklahoma’s Ft. Gibson Lake where she spent summers, with her sister Cathy, water-skiing behind their dad’s Chris-Craft boats. Joe & Phyllis also had a home on Grand Lake and some of Linda’s most cherished moments were sunset boat rides listening to Frank Sinatra. She also loved her ocean experiences in the Bahamas, Mazatlán, Hawaii, and countless cruises with Dick.

Linda was a talented piano player and loved entertaining at her home while Dick played the clarinet and saxophone. Her children fondly remember listening to her play after they went to bed. Linda was an avid golfer for years at Cherry Hills Country Club. She was also a proud member of a Great Books Club that met for over 40 years. In her later years, Linda loved spending time with friends and grandkids at the pool, reading, and of course, shopping.

Her children were her pride and joy, until the grandchildren came along. Morgan (16) and Mason (14) truly were the light of her world. Nana loved to watch Morgan dive and Mason play basketball and baseball. She had tea parties with Morgan, went exploring along the creek with Mason, gave them copious amounts of Kool-Aid and Oreos and couldn’t figure out why they wouldn’t take a nap.
After 25 years of fighting diabetes and heart disease, Linda was shocked to be diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on August 11. The strength she exuded every step of the journey astounded family and friends. Her favorite doctor called her “a force.” She was astounding and inspired many.

Linda Manley was an incredible sister, wife, aunt, mom, nana, friend, best friend and so much more. Surviving family includes Dick Manley (husband), Stephanie (daughter), Chris (son), Tricia (daughter-in-law), Morgan (granddaughter), Mason (grandson), Cathy Turnipseed (sister), Oklahoma City.
