Sammie Vinson Willis

Class of 1965

Sammie Vinson Willis passed away December 6, 2025. Classmates will always remember her for her friendliness, quick wit, and talent for writing which led her to be Editor of The Shield. She loved books and spent the majority of her career as a school librarian. She inspired hundreds of students to find the joy and value of reading. Her remains will be scattered off the coast of her beloved Maine. RIP, dear friend.
