| About Me | Married Jim McQueen and had 2 children, both boys. Earned my PhD, became a professor who ran a Virology research lab for 25 years that was funded by over 2.5 million dollars from the National Institutes of Health, and developed and served as Director of Clinical Laboratory Scientist and and a Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Training Programs at Cal State LA ; I trained nearly 90 research students in my lab, many of whom went on to MS and PhD programs. I was awarded a Outstanding Professor award, a California State University system-wide research award (only one award giver each year), and a distinguished woman award before moving into an administrative position at the University.
