| About Me | I attended Ohio University in the fall of 76 for one semester, transferred to Wright State, hated it and dropped out. I worked in an automotive parts warehouse on the east end of Dayton for four years. It was culture shock, but I met a lot of very nice, down to earth people that I learned a lot from about life. I then enrolled at Sinclair and took architectural drafting and journalism classes. I started writing for the Dayton Daily News and after three years worked as a part-time sportswriter for the Trotwood Independent. After three years I became a full-time staff writer for the Englewood Independent while still covering sports for the Trotwood edition. I bought a house in Randolph Twp. which later became Clayton in 1993, a 3-bedroom ranch on 1 acre with lots of trees. In 2000 I was named editor of the Englewood Independent and also took over the Northmont sports coverage later the same year. In 2005 the Independent won first place for best sports coverage in the state of Ohio. The paper has won...(read more) |
