| About Me | After High School I returned to the Virgin Islands. Joined the Navy shortly after that and served for four years in Boston and Newport, R.I. After being discharged, I returned to the Virgin Islands and worked as a bartender for a couple of years. Also managed a health food restaurant in the Oregon District before heading to Athens for college. I enrolled at Ohio University in 1983 and majored in Political Theory (and partying). I enrolled in law school in 1985 and graduated in 1988. Returned to the Virgin Islands and practiced law there until the mid 1990's. Too many hurricanes, a disillusionment with the practice of law and an uptick in crime led to my relocation to Florida. Began teaching paralegal courses at a community college and then moved on to teach Business Law and Ethics at a university in Ft. Lauderdale. I moved from classroom teaching to online teaching around 2000 which gave me the chance for extended travel. Went to Europe in 2004 fell in love with Prague and moved there later that year. Prague is a fabulous place but cold winters, so decided to give Costa Rica a try and stayed there for a couple of winters. Then back to Prague. That is when things really got interesting! I had been single since high school and thought I'd die a bachelor, but met a fantastic woman though an online dating service. That was in 2010. After an extended Skype romance, I flew to Turkey to meet her in person. She was working there as a costume designer for a theatrical company. Things clicked and we've been together ever since.
