About Funeral services to be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017: Visitation, 10:00 am, at the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 pm, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, both located at 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.

After a short battle with stomach cancer, Garry Lee Johnson passed away on September 5, 2017 in Westminster, Colorado at the age of 57. He is survived by his wife, Lori Johnson; daughters Amber Menge (and husband Tim Menge); Paige Johnson (and fiancé Jeramiah Samson); as well as his mother, Eunice Johnson; brother, Larry Johnson; niece Kristy Johnson and nephew Lloyd Johnson. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren: Alexia, Connor, Rebecca, Blake, Brielle and Taylor.

Garry was born on October 27, 1959 in Dayton Ohio, to father Kenneth Johnson who precedes him in death and Eunice Johnson. Garry met Lori while they were in high school and they wed on January 20, 1979. Garry attended the University of Louisville, KY. After, he enlisted in the military and served his country in the Army while stationed at Ft Carson, CO and Schofield Barracks, HI in the 125th MI Battalion. He graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1984 andleft the service to pursue his passion in business.

Garry was a driven professional who started his own business, Green Electronic Cigarettes, in 2009. Over the past 8 years, Garry and his wife Lori grew the business together and have gained a family of loyal customers. Dedicated to his family and customers, always joking or teasing the grandkids is the way Garry would want us to remember him. He’ll be greatly missed by all.

Garry requested to be buried. His body will be interred at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Viewing 10a-12p followed by gravesite service. A reception at 12830 W. 55th place in Arvada, CO will follow; all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Wounded Warrior Project.
