John Underwood ‘61…When (I believe it was) Max formed our rock n roll group our Junior year. Maybe Sophomore year. Donnie was a pretty decent guitarist and joined up with us. We got pretty close the junior/senior years. Junior year he found an old 1951 Indian motorcycle he wanted to buy, so I drove him somewhere in NY State to look at it. He bought it and I followed him home. In our senior year we went out and Don bought a Ducati motorcycle to race. I went with him on at least one race at Limerock Race Track when he broke his arm. Don, and his Mom & Dad were A#1, Triple AAA people! Miss him!

I ran into Don at a race in Sebring Florida in 1965 or 66 and I traded my Volvo for his motorcycle. I think we were both pretty happy with the deal. Don was working as a mechanic at that time if I remember correctly. It was the same bike that he had senior year of high school, just a customized and perfect for Florida.
