About	PAYNE, TSgt. Gregory Todd was born April 21, 1973, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He graduated from Northeast High School in St. Petersburg in 1991, where he was voted both "Class Clown" and "Most Daring". He was only given the option to pick one so of course he went with "Most Daring". Todd entered the Air Force on March 29, 1993, and began his career working as an electronic warfare technician. He had held vital assignments at Osan AB, Republic of Korea; Kadena AB, Japan; and Hurlburt Field, FL. During his 15 years of service, he willingly deployed to foreign nations in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. Todd was extremely proud to serve his nation in the United States Air Force and has numerous friends throughout the world who also enjoyed spending time with him. Todd was no stranger to hard work, but was equally talented when it came to leisure. He was an avid outdoorsman, who possessed a love for fishing, hunting, and everything outdoors. He is survived by his parents, David and Sheri Payne of St. Petersburg; his sister, Cyndi Chavez of St. Petersburg (NEHI 1981); and brother, David "Tripp" Payne III of St. Petersburg (NEHI 1982). Also surviving are two nephews, Kyle Chavez and Pearson Payne of St. Petersburg and two nieces, Kourtney Chavez and Alexandra Payne of St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SOF Warrior's Foundation. There was a local memorial service on Sunday, Nov. 30th at 3 pm at the Riviera United Methodist Church, 175 62 Avenue N, St. Petersburg, FL. 33702. He was killed in a motorcycle accident.
