About | The following is from the morning call. Shawn and his brother died one year apart - to the day. Shawn I. Zimmerman, 38, of Bath, died Monday, September 15, 2008, in Millville. Born on May 27, 1970, he was the son of Lester and Cheryl (Gechter) Zimmerman Jr. of Thompson. He was married to Heather L. (Beal) Zimmerman on July 18, 1998. Shawn was an electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 375. Survivors: Wife; parents; daughter, McKayla Zimmerman; son, Dakota Zimmerman; paternal grandmother, Virginia L. Diehl of Northampton; maternal grandparents, Richard and Sadine Gechter of AMbler. He was predeceased by a brother, Shane Zimmerman. Services: 7 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008, Schisler Funeral Home Inc., 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Zimmerman "> Shane A. Zimmerman Shane A. Zimmerman, 33, of Shaver Road, Thompson, Ararat Township, formerly of Northampton, died Sept. 15, 2007, in his home. He was the husband of Marie R. (Rizzuto) since Feb. 7, 2005. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Lester M. Jr. and Cheryl A. (Gechter) Zimmerman. Shane had been employed by Nestle/Perrier Water Co., Allentown, and previously by US Food Service, Allentown. He was an Army disabled veteran, achieving the rank of Pfc. Shane was a 1992 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School. He was an avid sportsman, fisherman and motorcyclist. Shane was a member of the Jednota Club, North Catasauqua, Alliance Volunteer Fire Company, Northampton, Lappawinzo Fish and Game Protective Association, Northampton, and Ranger Lake Rod and Gun Club, Coplay. He fished in the Lake Ontario Pro Am Series and LOC Salmon Derby. Survivors: Wife; parents; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Virginia L. (Barndt) Diehl of Cetronia; maternal grandparents, Richard and Sandine (DiGuglieamo) Gechter of Ambler; brother Shawn I. of Thompson; niece, McKayla; nephewe, Dakota.
