About Laurence S. Lisowski Obituary
LOUDONVILLE - Retired NY State Trooper Sgt Laurence S. Lisowski, 74, died suddenly Wed, July 13th at Samaritan Hospital, Troy. Born in North Tonawanda, NY July 5, 1948, son of the late Steven and Josephine Grzybinski Lisowski, Larry served with the US Air Force from 1967-71. Larry joined the NYSP in 1974, retiring in 1996, as a sergeant, and station commander at the Duanesburg Troop G station. In addition to his service with the NYSP, Larry was a member of the Air National Guard, for 32 years, retiring in 2009 as a Senior Master Sergeant, with the 109th Airlift Wing at Stratton Air Base. He also worked in Operations at Southwest Airlines for 17 years at the Albany International Airport. Larry was proud to have furthered his education, receiving a Bachelors Degree in City Planning from Nyack College.

Larry was a member of the NRA, the Retired Troopers Assoc., was an avid runner and participated in a number of Warrior Dashes, enjoyed golf, and was a huge Hard Rock Café pin collector, obtaining hundreds of pins while in his travels with the Air Corps and family trips.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Gloria Peluso Lisowski, his son, NYSP Trooper Steven (Michelle) Lisowski of LaGrange, NY , his daughter Alicia (Rosario) Curto of Dix Hills, NY, proud grandfather of Christian, Alessandro and Luca Curto, Olivia and Ryan Lisowski, his sister, Mary Jo Lisowski and daughter Melissa(Joseph) Corrieri of No. Tonawanda, along with in-laws Joyce Peluso, Ralph (Marlene) Peluso and Peter (Lauren) Peluso, and a number of nieces, nephews and their families.
