About	Francis (Frank) A. Giardino 68 of North Tonawanda Thursday, November 27, 2003 at Degraff Hospital after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and graduated from North Tonawanda High School and Niagara University. He owned the Cascade Lounge, a bar and banquet room in Wheatfield, for three years in the 1960s. He later was a substitute teacher in North Tonawanda School System and a sales representative for Del Monte Foods, Williamsville. Mr Giardino became the emergency management director for North Tonawanda five years ago. He was co-founder of the Renaissance Club; a member of Madonna Council 2535, Knights of Columbus; and an honorary member of Live Hose Company. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, the former Patricia Heiss; two sons, Michael of Rochester and Rick of North Tonawanda; a daughter, former Alderwoman Pamela Hogan of North Tonawanda; a sister, Rosemary Mante of North Tonawanda; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1451 Payne Ave. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda
