About	Thomas M. Guido, 64, of Lewiston NY, passed away on Sunday July 19, 2009 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, NY he was the son of Irene (Kolbe) Guido of North Tonawanda, NY, and the late Francis R. Guido. Thomas graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1964 and was awarded a football scholarship to attend Washburn University in Topeka, KS. He later attended the University of Buffalo where he earned a degree in Physical Education. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany from September 19, 1967 until his honorable discharge on August 26, 1969. On February 5, 1971 he married Linda M. (Keitz) Guido at Ascension Church in North Tonawanda, NY. Early on in his career, Tom was employed as a Physical Education Teacher at Starpoint Elementary School. Afterwards he worked as a sales manager for a local Industrial Distributor until retirement in 2007. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Youngstown and prior to that he was a longtime member of the former Ascension Church in North Tonawanda. One of his favorite pastimes was target shooting at the Polaris Shooting Club in Tonawanda. Tom was a Corvette enthusiast, and enjoyed car restoration and racing. He also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fan of boxing and football, but his greatest devotion was to his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife of thirty eight years and his mother, Mr. Guido is survived by his four children, Natalie E. (Patrick) Bubb of Williamsville, NY; Nicole M. (Glenn) Lendel of Fort Gratiot, MI; Thomas J. (Krista) Guido and Noelle C. (Michael) Lepine both of Lewiston, NY; seven grandchildren , Francesca, Dominic, Cole, Jonah, Noah, Phillip and Patrick, one sister Marilyn (Kenneth) Bigham of Cuba, NY; two brothers Francis (Ellie) Guido and James (Kim) Guido both of North Tonawanda, NY; one sister-in-law Roberta Pardee of Amherst, NY and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother George Guido. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday July 24th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernard’s Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown NY with Msgr. J. Thomas Moran officiating. EVERYONE WILL ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment with Military Honors will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Kenmore, NY.
