Enlisted in Navy Reserve while attending college. Commissioned Ensign in 1968 after graduation. Command of "Swift Boat" in country Vietnam 1969-1970. Two more years brown water navy then two years blue water Navy supporting Vietnam. Surface Warfare Officer until 1989 when retired as Commander O-5.

Had a wonderful time (most of the time) traveling all over the world. I was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division for six of those years and was with the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq in 2003. (Something I will never forget yet wish I could....)
