Gary was part of the first Beaver Platoon from Salem, a group of men that enlisted together during the Korean War. He passed away in Salem of cancer in 1990 and is survived by his step children Jack and Kathleen and his daughter Jodi and Son Brian. His wife Sally passed away in 2006.
