Cheryl was the first new student after I started attending Auburn Elementary School. Being the new kids created a bond. We were friends until we were 47 when she passed away. I saw her a few months before at her daughter’s wedding. I’m so glad I got to see her and her family. She had the sweetest mother. Cheryl and I had so many laughs over the years! She was the best friend!
