| Favorite School Memory | Beating Clarkstown north 2-1 in soccer. It was in the fall of 1971, and I played the entire game with appendicitis and thought it was just a gas pain. |
| About Me | I worked a variety of jobs, but in 1979 I hooked up with a children's home in Randolph NY. My duties was to work with youth at risk and in a mutitude of areas. I have continued to work with youth at risk in many capacities. I began working a nightwatch position and then transferred to a 2nd shift position, where you actually work with the youth hands on. I transferred to another children's home in Jamestown NY in 1986, and I continue to work there. I worked my way up from a frontline line worker to a Treatment Coordinator (TC). I left my TC position to create a Resource/Crisis Team at our campus school. There had been increased violence in the school, and I created a Team that would ensure safety and a more conducive learning environment. I have been working with youth at risk now going on 29 years. I have received several awards for excellence in Child Care. I have adopted two kids and have 3 of my own. I have 5 grandchildren. I have played the drums for a classic rock band and have had then good fortune to open up for a couple of national acts....(read more) |
