| About Me | I relocated to Brattleboro, VT four years ago, following a life long journey of self discovery: as a halfway house worker, a case manager at Devereux School and Office for Children in Mass, various school positions including peer ed counselor, and school psychologist. Then I discovered buying and selling vintage items, first at a flea market, then as a shop owner. I really like curating and displaying interesting things in a retail setting. and started our family business, Distinctive Decor, a shop in the downtown Brattleboro, VT shopping district. I also worked as a poker dealer in various rooms in New Hampshire; I love the challenge and psychology of playing poker. It requires intense focus, observation, patience, money management, and card sense to be a successful poker player--as well as lots of well-timed luck. I am always working on my skills. I have some success as measured by tournament wins and getting in the money; as well as cash game play. There are always things to learn and ways to change strategy in a poker game. I love the game: I hate the game: but I always try again- even after the worst beat or most obtuse mistake.
