Died alone unexpectedly and suddenly at his home in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.
Buried close to his parents in Portsmouth Cemetery, Portsmouth, England, following a humanist/atheist memorial service. Very missed by his wife, three daughters, elder brother, the rest of his extended family, and his many friends and colleagues.
