About	Anchorage Daily News December 1, 2007 Anchorage resident Kenneth H. Gerber, 47, died Nov. 27, 2007, at Alaska Regional Hospital. Visitation was held with a service at Anchorage Baptist Temple. The Rev. Jerry Prevo and the Rev. Glenn Clary officiated. Burial was at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery. Ken was born Oct. 23, 1960, in Bristol, Pa. He was a 1978 graduate of North Penn High School in Lansdale, Pa., and airline mechanic school in Quakertown, Pa. He moved to Anchorage in February 2005. He was employed by Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and most recently by Evergreen International Airlines Inc. Ken was a member of the Anchorage Baptist Temple. He was an Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. "Ken was a caring person, the kind of guy who would give his last dollar to someone in need," his family wrote. "He was a family man and close to all his family. The church was also important to him. He always found a place to worship God in the towns he lived in over the years." He is survived by his parents, Joseph and June Gerber of Sellersville, Pa.; his wife, Esmeralda; and daughters, Keshia and Kendra, all of Anchorage; sister, Donna Gerber of Lansdale, Pa.; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Melissa Gerber of Pennsburg, Pa.; six nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Annie Gerber, and Howard and Eva Young. Anchorage Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
