| About Me | Hi World! To bring my N.O.H.S. friends up to date. Michael Carter & I started dating our Junior Year, 1977 for 6 1/2 years. I transferred down to Florida with my job and lived with Michael;s Mom, Dad & sister for a year. We got Married October 1983 up in Ohio with many of our family & friends to share our Wedding with us! We have lived in the house that was built for us since 1984 to current. We have 3 children, son Matthew, daughter Leah & daughter Shannon. Michael's Parents live in Sarasota and my Parents live in Bradenton. Our son, Matthew just graduated from University of South Florida in Computer Engineering. He just started his first "Full Time job"!Our daughter, Leah will be starting her 4rd yearat State College of Florida. Our daughter, Shannon has started her 3rd year in High School. We have two pet dogs and one cat. Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting have been a great part of our family life together. I have just retired as a Volunteer Girl Scout Leader of two Troops. Several of my Scouts & I have been to Central America twice and summer 2009 we went to Vancouver, BC and Cruise to Alaska. On July 27, 2012 we went to London for 3 days during their Summer Olympics. We took a two hour Train Trip from Gatwick to Southampton, UK we spent one night there to see the Titanic 100 year museum and then for a 13 day Princess Cruise trip to Paris, 3 places around Scotland & 3 places around Ireland, to Liverpool, England and Guernsey then returned back to Southampton. Took another 2 hour Train ride back to Gatwick Airport and a non-stop flight back to Orlando,FL. We had such a wonderful 17 day trip! I have retired from my 17 years of Volunteer Girl Scout Leadership. For the 1st time in 18 years, (Jan. 2013) I am not running 1-3 Girl Scout Troops & I am not the GS Leader & "Cookie Mom" Collecting Cookie Orders, Scheduling Cookie Booths & Troop Cookie Reports. This seems so very strange. For the 1st time in 18 years we will not be selling Cookies at one of our Sponsors, Bradenton Elks Lodge #1511. We also have camped over 70 times and love the outdoors! I have received the pride & joy of being apart of so many young ladies and their parents. I had a Stroke 2000. The words God and Girl Scouts, & my family have saved me! I am still very glad to get up everyday and sharing my life with my wonderful husband, best friend & the High School Sweetheart, Michael.... and my 3 wonderful children!
