| About Me | I live in sunny southern California and I have one son, whom I adore,. I'm retired after teaching for 42 years. I love history and was certified to teach middle and high school (Mr. Carruth was my master teacher) but I was told it was easier to get an elementary position. Since my husband was a Marine F-4 pilot I knew we'd be moving around so I also got a credential to teach K-8 to cover my bases. I was only a Marine wife for 6 years so after his time at El Toro MCAS we settled in Orange County, CA and I've loved it ever since. We often traveled for fun as a family and I've continued to do that with family and friends. I love taking classes (OLLI is great) and I enjoy the theater, music, art museums and galleries (Laguna is an art colony).
