| About Me | The last Mt Lion sighting was Sep 2010 in a residential area about ten minutes from here. born at Fort Belvoir, near Alexandria VA in 1950. Lived in turn in Ft Knox, Ky, Panama Canal Zone, Elizabethtown, Ky, Mannheim, Germany, Fort Hood/ Killeen Tx, finishing high school at North Hardin High school then at Vine Grove, Ky 1968 Sponsored by Allison Transmissions of Indianapolis to attend General Motors Institute in Flint, Mi from 1968 to 1973 for degree in Mechanical Engineering. Attended Indiana University for MBA while working at Allison Sales and Service. Transferred to Field operations in Northern California in 1976. Married same year to Carol, building our dream home in Morgan Hill, adjacent to Silicon Valley. Our 3 children were born in San Jose at the Kaiser Hospital where Carol worked. In the following years I covered the western US for the combined Detroit Diesel Allison Division. In 1982 I accepted an offer from our Los Angeles distributor as a Project manager for their industrial gas turbine sale to the city of LA. Eventually we returned to our home in Morgan Hill in 1989 after we concluded that Nor Cal offered a better quality of life than we were likely to attain in LA . Since returning, we have regained the peace that was never found in LA. I have worked in a variety of jobs ranging from Q.A. to Construction.
