| About Me | Well, where do I start. Moved to Detroit. Got a job. Worked my way through college. Got a REAL job as college grad trainee with City of Detroit. Got married, bought house had kids. Put kids through school including college. Built race car, went to drivers school and spent seven years as amateur road racer, winning 4 class championships and finishing as runner-up 3 times. Retired from City of Detroit as Asst. Director-Human Resources. Got Divorced. Sold house. Started second career as Operations manager at local sports car racing facility. Bought another house. Bought mountain bike, canoe, camper and other toys. Rode bike every other day on single-track at number of MI state parks, averaged 60-80 miles per week. Take camping trips with Son,Daughter and grand kids. Had heart attacks. Got stents. Take pills. Keep doing the above except racing. Now drive Fire Rescue vehicle at road racing facility one weekend a month during the season,and for local Indycar, IMSA and Trans-Am event one long weekend a year. Got passport, went to Cancun, eventually Hawaii and a number of European countries. Frequent road trips to destinations in Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, Utah and Washington state and visiting several National Parks at intermediate points long the way; also to Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and visits to the MA, PA and DC area.
