| About Me | I started programming games when the Apple II first came to our school. What else could you do with it? I won a programming contest sponsored by Orion Software when I was 15 and the game that won, Millibug, was included in a software package called Hello Charlie. I was Captain of the North Farmington Computer Team in high school and we won many competitions including the Detroit College of Business Competition. In college I studied computer science and worked as a consultant at a local computer store. I became the first assistant manager and helped open the Battle Creek Store. After the SoftwareHouse I became a Major Account Representative for MicroAge Computers in Kalamazoo, MI. I won numerous awards for performance and managed consultants for Rayle, MicroAge, and a medical service team. I left MicroAge to form Digital Systems Group which later became Source9.com. We partnered with the Kellogg Corporation in Battle Creek and created/developed many of their marketing websites and wrote key back-end systems that Kellogg's uses to conduct business. I had the pleasure of working with some of the largest advertising agencies in the world to create really unique web properties. In the process I won a number of design awards for sites. In my spare time I put together a team and drove the development of Nucore which is a replacement computer system for Pinball 2000 games. Nucore has become a very popular product and a recognized brand in the pinball community. I also decided to learn how to develop iOS games. The first game I wrote, Slide! is for sale on the iTunes store. I really enjoyed getting back into game development and decided to take it on full-time. I met a fellow developer, Todd Gillissie and we decided to join forces to develop iOS games. Todd had already started The Pantheon Cycle - Shrouded Aspect and asked for my help with game AI. Since then my role has expanded and we're shooting for a Jan 2011 release. In my spare spare time I play lead guitar, compose, and record music in my home studio. I have music on iTunes and in bargain bins at the local record stores (snicker.) I've also been fortunate enough to play Kellogg Arena and open for a few national acts. As I mentioned before I also enjoy playing and restoring old video games and pinball machines. All those years of electronics/digital electronics actually ended up being useful. Most importantly I love being a dad and a husband to the best boy and wife in the world. What's next? I've got a few things in the pipeline and I'm happy to say th...(read more) |
