| About Me | I worked at Oregon Research Institute for 27 years and now I am working at Springfield Utility Board. My family moved my grandparents in with us and we had three generations living under one roof. My grandparents' dementia grew to the point it wasn't safe for them. It took all of us to care for them in their final years. We learned so much with this experience and opportunity. Cherished memories and yet the hardest thing we have ever done. Even harder than losing my mother at her age 47 and her sister the same year. My grandma and I grew close with this loss. Later we lost my brother at his age 36 and my father the same year.
