Jimmy worked at Charleston Naval Shipyard (1980-95) and received from the Navy Dept. the Meritorious Civilian Service Award. He worked as head of Radiation Control at Y-12 in Oak Ridge, TN (1995-98) and received the Exceptional Service Award from DOE posthumously. His passions were his family and Clemson sports. He was still the avid athlete who enjoyed teaching his sons football and continued to workout and lift weights.
