Manuel died after a heroic battle with Parkinson's disease. He was a resident of Shreveport, LA and a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ.
He honorably served his country in the Army and while he was in the National Guard, he went to work at Arkla Gas Company. After a long career with Arkla, he retired from the gas control department.
