About Me	I graduated from NCSU with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1982 and began my working career with CP&L, now Progress Energy. After six years with CP&L, I joined McKim and Creed, a local consulting engineering firm, where I worked for six years as a mechanical engineer on various industrial projects. In 1994, I became a general partner and Vice President of Cheatham and Associates, PA, a family-owned consulting engineering business located in Wilmington, North Carolina.
