When we went to High School with him I (as well as others) considered him an annoying little brother -- A pain in the butt, but we still loved him anyways.I never knew until years later that he hid a lot of pain from us... the attention he was always trying to get entirely justified. We didn't know. I had talked to his dad at church on many occasions in the 1980's -- he told about the trauma Bob went through in dealing with his illness (I presumed cancer).... Skip ahead to where he's living on the family's old homestead in Central New York. Again, Bob is full of pain -- this time mostly physical -- and he took his own life.
