I joined the service several years after graduating.. I joined and shipped to my first duty station Fort Richardson In Anchorage Alaska,shortly there after I received deployment orders to head to Afghanistan in 2009 for OEF were i remained for 13months. I met my husband who is also still in the Army during my service who is now deploying for the 4th time in a few months.. I am beyond proud to have served my country and even prouder of my husband.

Duties include: Dispatching emergencies, operating ARFF apparatus (fire truck), training and supervising Marines to meet all required Firefighting standards, overseeing the safety and well being of Jr. Marines, leading Marines in physical training, supervise Jr. Marines in day to day tasks and assignments. Senior rescue man during emergencies and capable of working positions as a Turret Man, Handline Man, Tanker Operator, Safety and Point Man.
Certifications include: firefighter I, II, ARFF, Public Telecommunication I, II, Driver Pumper Operator, ARFF Driver Pumper Operator, Fire Instructor I, II, III, Fire Inspector I, HAZMAT Operations and Awareness
