Dave Winscott
Class of 1958
Don Close, class of 1958, passed away on 08/02/2021, in Chatsworth, CA, due to complications arising from heart disease and failure. Don was surrounded by his family and eldest daughter in Europe who was connected via phone at the time of his passing. Don and his family had coped with his dementia for some time.
Don is survived by loving wife Patti, daughters Cori Close, Amity Wicks, Adell Gillman, grandchildren Owen and Darby Wicks, and son-in-law Chris Wicks. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 09/11/2021 in Milpitas, CA, 1 pm at Christ Community Church, 1000 South Park Victoria Dr., Milpitas, CA 95035.
Don's classmate and buddy from the 1st Grade at McKinley, Dave Winscott, will be in attendance. Over the years we stayed in close contact and visits and often reminisced about our growing and fun-filled Viking days at NHS with so many wonderful classmates.
