o Served at every organizational level from Platoon Leader to Staff officer at Headquarters, Dept of the Army
o Retired in 1993 while serving as a staff officer at Headquarters, US Army, Europe and 7th Army, Heidelberg, Germany
o Vietnam - 1967-1968
o Germany - 1976-1979; 1989-1993
o Served 17 years as an Army civilian on the USAREUR staff in Heidelberg, Germany
o Retired as a Department of Defense civilian in Jun 2010

Navy, 2 Years

Was on active duty from Navy Reserves during the Cuban Missle Crisis, serving on the destroyer USS Myles C. Fox DD-829 out of Mayport, FL. After tracking Russion ships in Gitmo we spent 9 months in the Mediterranean Sea playing cat & mouse games with the Russion Navy until Kennedy called their bluff. Got out and went back to college earning BS and MS degrees.
