About Me | I worked in Boulder as a receptionist/ assistant for dentist Dr. Herschleb for 2 yrs, then worked for Dr. Michael Shore same position in Lafayette. Married Ken Lindquist Aug 1982. We lived in Lafayette until we moved to LA, CA in June 1983. Ken graduated from CU as Elec Eng. and took a job with the city of LA. I worked for a urologic group in Sherman Oaks, CA. until 1985 when we had our first child. I became a homemaker and had another daughter 2 yrs later in 1987 and a son 3 yrs after that in 1990. I totally loved being a mother and it is my proudest accomplishment! I became a sample painter for a very famous tole painter in LA. I worked for her for a few years. We moved to Delta UT in Millard County, Sept. 91. We joined a Baptist Church here since the Morman ratio is 98% and became very active. I ended up with 10 jobs in the church and it was almost my life. In 1998 I started volunteering for the Millard Co. Sheriff Office. I taught Neighborhood watch and it slowly worked into a position and I was hired by the Sheriff in 2002. I dipatched a while, that was crazy. I have been an EMT-Intermediate and run with the Millard Co. Ambulance for 9 yrs. We have no paramedics in our county...too small. Only 10,000 pop, so I get to do the full range of skills, very cool. Currently I am the head of Public Relations and Program Design for the Millard Co. Sheriff Office. That means I teach all of the programs we offer. Many of them I have made for us. I am in the public almost daily. I help with our DARE program and have run CERT for 10 yrs. I have a few programs I do for the state of UT. Chair of UT State CERT Advisory Board; currently 2nd Vice Chair of UT State Critical Incident Stress Mgmt team; Board for Medical Reserve Corps; UT State Volunteer Registry Task Force board; CCC; LEPC I am busy busy but I love it. I am the only employee in the history of the Sheriff Office that gets to drive a Sheriff vehicle..yah the ones with the lights and sirens..:) I can out shoot many of our deputies but I have not opted to go to the academy and become an officer. My oldest daughter Katelyn is married and thank heavens lives only 4 hours away. We don't see each other very often but I'm sure when grandchildren come we will. We have a very close relationship.. Same with my second daughter, Julia, she and I have the best times together, we love to shop! She is in WI attending Northland Baptist Bible college, majoring in Missions and Christian counseling. Erik my youngest is a senior at our local Delta High school. He is the happiest kid I know! I have been truly blessed with three fantastic kids. Haven't experienced those horrible teen yrs I contribute that to the Lord in our home! We are active with our Baptist church in Fillmore UT. We moved fom the church in Delta 85 members to Fillmore where there is only 6 of us and the pastors family to help them out and help support them. Many of you don't know I had agoraphobia from Jr high school until 1996. My yrs at Niwot were NOT the best of my life by any means. If I had them to do over I would have been very different..although NOT any more coordinated and still would never have made drill team...pity.:) I do not have very many good memories of Niwot or friends besides Mary Kay Nitchie who went away to college and lost touch. And being a aide (what did that mean??) for Hak. He was wonderful, I am related to him sort of through Ken, but I have heard he is not real...(read more) |
