She was a 1980 graduate of Niwot High School and an avid Bronco fan. Survivors include her mother Lois Bider of Chicago, sister Tracy Starnes and husband Wayne of N.C., niece Cayla Starnes and nephew Mitchell Starnes both of N.C. and companion Tom Kowalski of Arvada.
