Favorite School Memory	I enjoyed the caliber of the students and the quality of education I received. Our wrestling team was the best in the state then.
About Me	I have done much more than I ever thought I would. I've lived in various places and worked at various jobs prior to getting back to health care 29 years ago, since my original goal was to go to medical school. I've been married for 35 years. My father went into cardiac arrest when I was 23, which changed many things in my life that I took for granted. I've worked very hard, and 2 awards give me a sense of satisfaction for my achievements in working with patients: the American Association for Respiratory Care Diagnostics Practitioner of the Year award in 2006 and the CT Society for Respiratory Care's John and Louise Julius award for Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Respiratory Care in 2007. I've supervised a pulmonary diagnostics laboratory for the last 27 years, but I still do direct patient care, including critical care, when we don't have enough coverage. I've travelled to quite a few places, but the 3 most meaningful trips were to the Holy Land including Jerusalem, Mother Teresa's beatification at St. Peter's Bascilica in Vatican City, which was the last major Roman Catholic celebration Pope John Paul II presided over before ...(read more)
