Beth has been a dear friend to me for 50 years. We knew each other from age 5. My life is marked by dozens of signposts that include Beth in the picture, full of love, quirky wisdom, support and laughter. She lived much of her life in California, but never renounced her ties to Niagara. Over the years she affectionately collected a fascinating archive of Niagara Falls history and memorabilia. It illustrates, too, how wonderful she was at seeing beyond the surface of things and people, encouraging a view of the beauty and character the rest of us didn't know was there. I love her profoundly and hope there is a place where I'll see her again. My love and sympathy to her husband and soulmate, Jim. Their marriage was a joy and inspiration for them, as was her life for me.
