About Me	Attended Iowa State University and graduated 8/1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Distributive Studies. Military: Commmissioned an Army Infantry Second Lieutenant through Reserve Officer Training Corps at Iowa State University 8/1968. Attended Infantry Officers Basic Course and Airborne school at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Active Duty also included: Stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga as Basic Training Officer then a year (9/1969 - 9/1970) in Vietnam as an Infantry Platoon Leader (6 months) with 1st Infantry Division then as a Staff Officer (6 months) with the 101st Airborne Division. Medals: Silver Star, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Army Commendation, National Defense Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service, & Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry from South Vietnamese Government. Also awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge. Served in Missouri National Guard a company executive officer in a mechanized infantry company for 3 years then got out of the reserves. Promoted to Captain. Worked at the Army Aviation Systems Command, St. Louis, Missouri as a civilian and retired in 1997 after 26 years. I was a Quality Assurance Specialist (Aircraft) and audited Federal Government contractors throughout the 48 states. Performed investigations of defective parts. I worked with the UH-1 & UH-60 helicopters. Very interesting work. Worked for a Federal Government contractor for 6 years writing changes to Army Aviation Technical Manuals then retired completely in 2006. Currently living in Fenton, Missouri (suburb ...(read more)
