Disbursing Clerk (DK) while in the service. First 3 1/2 years I served on the USS Gudalcanal (LPH-7) stationed out of Norfolk, VA. During the tour on the ship it made 2 North Atlanitc, 2 Mediterranian, and 2 Carribian cruises. The ship was stationed off of Beruit, Lebanon the day that the American Embassy was blown up. My last year I was stationed in the Navy's Europian Command in London, England. During the one cruise there were other graduates from the same class on the ship in the Marine Corp.
