Tony R. Rodriguez (NMHS Class of 1995) is an award-winning novelist, poet and journalist. A graduate from San Francisco State University, Rodriguez has published four books including "When I Followed the Elephant" (Cauliay Books, United Kingdom, 2011). Currently, Rodriguez writes for Examiner, where he composes under the column “San Francisco Literary Examiner.” Here, Rodriguez has been fortunate to review dozens of books and interview the likes of Anne Rice, Paul Krassner, Lisa Lutz, Eric Drooker, and Carolyn Cassady. He’s also an executive board member of PEN Oakland, a chapter of PEN Center USA, which is itself an affiliate of PEN International.
