In Viet Nam- Received and administered cargo and ammunition for distribution up and down the coast of Viet Nam.
On board the USS Lynde McCormick DDG8-
I distributed supplies to various departments on the ship. During GQ I loaded shells to fire at the VC.

After graduation I joined the navy and was immediately sent to Viet Nam (in country) with a attach helicopter squadron. I served 20 months in country followed by another 9 months off the coast of Viet Nam. While there I reenlisted for 4 more years and served that time on Whidbey Island in Washington state. I must say my 8 yrs service was a real eye opener and coming of age time for this small town Idaho farm boy , which I am proud to say I would not trade for anything.

CPT Lacer is currently assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team out of Fort Carson, CO. She just returned from her second Iraq deployment where she served as a registered nurse.

Drafted out of Engr/MBA program in '68. Taught tri-service officers Petroleum Chemistry, then sent to Viet Nam, headed inspection for all petroleum products entering southern So. Viet Nam - invaluable learning experience.
