My name is Kala Pohl and I am Ilmar Pohl's wife. Ilmar passed away on November 13, 2013. He battled cancer for 7 years. For most of the 7 years he had a good quality of life. The last year was tough, but he was very peaceful about it all. He was able to retire when he was 55 and had 10 years to enjoy his retirement before his passing. We had a wonderful life together. He was excited about the reunion and I know that he will be there in spirit.
