Drafted into Marine Corps Dec-65 , Left work to join Marines and the the Air Force Recruiter made me an offer I couldn't refuse 4-6 months more of being a civilian,,Lackland AFB,Amarillo (Tech-School)AFB,Airframe Repairman-Reese AFB-Military Drivers License-Aux Air Police, Nha Trang Air Base, Pleiku, Kon Tum ,Dak To and Charleston AFB. Wanted to reenlist but Sharon (Meuse) Olsen (Y'all remember HER - class of 66 ) said "NO Way We're going home....So I went back to work @ EB.

LaWanna Green - Viers

MSgt LaWanna Green-Viers is a first sergeant in the Air Force, she graduated from New London High in 1989. As a student she ran indoor and outdoor track, she was a member of the student council, drama club, choir and spanish club. In 2007, MSgt LaWanna Green-Viers served 5 months in Kuwait City, Kuwait to help protect our nation. During her time in Kuwait she was nominated as Non-commissioned officer of the month, ministered to several soldiers of all branches of service, as guest speaker for two Gospel Festivals, weekly tea parties for women of all branches of service, and she was selected as the spokesperson for the women's day program for the US Army. MSgt LaWanna Green-Viers was selected to speak in both Army and Air Force chapels throughout Kuwait.
